One of the activities following the Conference has been the production of a video celebrating the mountains of Maine, from which the event drew its inspiration. The Steering Committee, working with Round Point Movies of Lewiston, ME, faced the challenge of compressing the one and a half days of the Conference into a 23-minute story, using raw video footage, photos, captions, and music.

You can find the fruits of our labor on YouTube. Please go to:

http://www.youtube.com/protectthemountains

The video is posted on a YouTube Channel called "Protect the Mountains." It is in three parts so be sure to check out all 3. While there, we encourage you to subscribe to this Channel, which we hope will evolve into an ongoing resource for mountain protection and celebration.

Although the video is complete as it now stands, we still regard it as a work in progress. Therefore, we welcome your comments and suggestions, which can be left on the Channel.

If you would like to purchase your own copy of the video on DVD, we are requesting a $25 donation to help with the cost of the production. Also on the DVD are the slide presentations and other materials from the Conference.

To order a DVD send $25 check made out to MATC (Maine Appalachian Trail Club) to Elsa Sanborn, PO Box 8087, Bangor, ME 04402.    mailto:elsas@prexar.com

Please note: Those who previously prepaid for the DVD will be receiving a copy in the mail shortly.
You may receive more than one of these emails if two or more parties registered with the same email address.

Enjoy the video and Protect the Mountains!!
